Adler’s Appetite Featuring Steven Adler | Diesel Concert Theater in Chesterfield, MI – December 14th, 2018

Adler’s Appetite DESTROY Metro-Detroit!

By: Jeremy Marquardt

Steven Adler, GUNS N ROSES original drummer who appeared on the 1987 breakthrough album “Appetite For Destruction” and 1988’s “G N’ R Lies” is no stranger to rocking a crowd. When G N’ R reformed back in 2016 for the “Not In This Lifetime Tour”, Steven had been in rehearsals playing 21 songs twice a day to be ready for the tour. During a rehearsal right before the “secret” Troubadour show he pulled a muscle in his back and required surgery. This resulted in him not being invited to participate on the tour for anything more than a couple songs at a few stops.

Fast forward to 2108. Steven decided if he isn’t to be included in the band’s super-successful reunion tour then he needed to find his own “Young Axl Rose”. He did just the in recruiting Ari Kamin as his frontman. It’s possible that Ari might sound BETTER than young Axl sounded. Rounding out all-new the lineup is Lead Guitarist Michael Thomas (beautiful Creatures, Faster Pussycat), Rhythm Guitarist Alistair James and Tanya O’Callaghan (Dee Snider, Puscifer). This band recreates a quite authentic version of the “Appetite” sound. The band ran through the hit after hit ranging from “Reckless Life” through “Paradise City”. The crowd was singing along to every word and the band was right there note for note and when they finished, the Diesel crowd was begging for more.

Thanks for an amazing show.
