Hey Mayhmers, I recently had the chance to chat with Joe Grunski the bassist of Another Day’s Armor, a hard rock group hailing from New York. The band has an insane sound that is a mash-up of multiple genres from the rock music scene that almost anyone could find pleasure in listening to. The guys recently released the video for “Death Investing” which you can check out below! Let’s jump into it!
For those who do not know you, tell us a little bit about who Another Day’s Armor is?
Joe: Another days armor is a 5 piece band from New York who wants to bring rock/metal back into the mainstream with a new unique sound.
I absolutely love the name! What is the story behind it?
Joe: There really isn’t a story behind it. Someone just said it one day and it stuck. We leave it open to interpretation.
You guys have what I’d like to call a “crossover sound” you have elements from rap, metal, to radio rock in your most recent release “Death Investing”, how did you guys decide to define your sound?
Joe: our sound is defined by the bands/artist we take influence from such as, avenged sevenfold, Linkin Park, Slipknot, etc . we’ve always loved the big arena sound in rock and metal so we try to deliver that with every song we put out.
Speaking of the track, what inspired it and what are you wanting to get across to your fans with it?
Joe: “Death Investing” is basically about people who think they can get away with anything without any consequences.
I know you guys are a fairly new-ish group… but I love hearing some personal stories… so what is the craziest thing that has happened to you guys since you’ve been together?
Joe: That’s a tough one actually Idk… there’s been a couple of things but they aren’t really band related.
If you could go on any tour, I mean ANY tour right now, with anyone… who would it be with and why?
Joe: I can’t speak for the rest of the band but I personally would have loved to be on the Twins of Evil tour with Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. I’m a huge fan of Marilyn Manson.
What can your fans expect from you in the near future?
Joe: Right now we have an EP written and recorded and we are talking about plans for releasing it in the near future. fans can stay updated via Facebook and Instagram.
