OK Mayday Premieres New Single, ‘Colorful,’ Companion Video

Oct. 1 — Independent alt-rock band OK Mayday premiered its latest single and companion video this week.

The band kicked off the weekend by debuting its new single, ‘Colorful‘ and its companion video. The single’s musical arrangement is a catchy, composition whose light instrumentation and vocals lend themselves to comparison to works from the likes of Radiohead.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the press release announcing the song’s premiere. The lyrics provided with the video hint at an uplifting message of simply making the most of life and enjoying it. It reminds audiences that better things are coming in life.

The song’s video features the band performing its new single in an open field as the song plays over. As the song and day progress and the sun sets, fireworks go off behind the band, sort of enhancing that positive message, considering how joyful fireworks can make a person.
