Saul Debuts ‘Looking To Fight’ Video; Announces New Live Dates

Saul premiered the video for its latest single last week.

The band debuted the video for its song, ‘Looking to Fight’ July 20. The song is featured in the band’s debut album, Rise as Equals (2020). The musical arrangement featured in ‘Looking to Fight’ is a heavy, melodic hard rock composition very much in the vein of Breaking Benjamin.

The lyrical theme featured in ‘Looking to Fight’ is a deeply contemplative message, according to front man Blake Bedsaul.

“‘Looking to Fight’ is a moment of introspection,” said Bedsaul. “Ask yourself this: Am I the hero or the villain in any given situation? After a long hard look into how I was dealing with my emotions, I realized that I was the villain of my own story. But don’t just apologize. Take responsibility for your actions and own up to them. Make the change to be someone to fight for — not against.”

The video for ‘Looking to Fight’ is relatively simple. It features in one part, the band performing its new single in a specially lit studio setting. That footage is paired with video of a man dealing with the ramifications of an argument that he had with a woman suggested to be his girlfriend. The visuals are meant to help translate the message that Bedsaul noted in his discussion on the song’s lyrical theme.

In other news, Saul is scheduled to launch a new tour in support of Rise as Equals, which also spawned the single, ‘King of Misery,’ Sept. 7 in Sturgis, SD. Some of its dates will find the band performing as support for Nonpoint’s “I’m About To Explode Tour.”
