Slaves To Humanity Debuts New Single, ‘Shake My Faith’

April 22 — Independent rock band Slaves To Humanity opened the weekend with some new music.

The band debuted its new single, ‘Shake My Faith‘ Friday. The musical arrangement featured in the band’s latest single is a rich, heavy stoner rock composition whose bass and guitar immediately lend the song to comparison to songs from the likes of Royal Blood.

The song’s lyrical theme takes audiences in a somewhat existential direction, according to a statement from the band.

“The lyrics are about being forced into change and the shock of it, which is something the entire world experienced through this pandemic” the statement reads.

Slaves To Humanity worked with Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (both ex-members of Orgy and current members of Julien-K) on the new song. the band talked about working with Shuck and Derakh in the statement, too.

“Working with Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh like always, was a pleasure,” the statement reads. “They brought in a new perspective that just helped shape the song, giving it its fullness and power. Through the mixing process, the song went through a few phases with Amir, who wanted to get this song to sound phenomenal, and I think he really succeeded with his and our vision, making it an extremely powerful and meaningful song just through his mix.”

‘Shake My Faith’ is just the latest of Slaves To Humanity’s singles. The band has also released the singles, ‘Behind My Back,’ ‘The Start,’ and ‘Battleground.’
