April 3 — Symphonic metal band Visions of Atlantis premiered the video for its single, ‘Melancholy Angel’ this week.
The band opened the week by debuting the live video for its single, ‘Melancholy Angel.’ The song is featured in the band’s most recent album, Pirates (2022). The video was recorded during the band’s performance at the most recent Masters of Rock Festival in the Czech Republic. The performance in question is featured in the bonus DVD that is included in the expanded, limited edition release of VOA’s brand new live recording, Pirates Over Wacken, which was released Friday through Napalm Records.
The band’s performance in front of the crowd of thousands included a compliment of orchestral musicians to complete the presentation from the band.
In other news, Visions of Atlantis is scheduled to launch a new European tour Tuesday, with support from Autumn Bride. The tour’s schedule is noted below:

After the band finishes its brand new tour in support of Pirates Over Wacken, it will take some time off before joining fellow symphonic metal act (and Napalm Records label mates Delain) this fall for a North American run headlined by Delain.
The bands’ tour is scheduled to kick off Sept. 9 at the annual Prog Power USA Festival in Atlanta, GA. It is set to run through Oct. 24 in Los Angeles, CA and also features scheduled stops along the way in cities Charlotte, NC; Salt Lake City, UT and Mesa, AZ.
