June 21 — Metalcore band Memphis May Fire unveiled the video for its latest single this week.

The band debuted the video for its new single, ‘Misery‘ Wednesday. The single is featured in the band’s latest album, Remade in Misery, which was released in 2022 through Rise Records. The album also produced the singles, ‘Your Turn,’ ,Blood & Water,’ ‘Bleed Me Dry,’ ‘Somebody,’ ‘Death Inside,’ ‘The American Dream,’ Make Believe,’ ‘Left For Dead,’ and ‘Only Human.’

Front man Matty Mullins talked about the video’s treatment and the song in general in a prepared statement.

“With ‘Misery’ being the song we named the album after, it obviously holds a lot of weight,” Mullins said. “It’s raw and honest, and it’s the song that I felt tied the whole body of work together. The video is unlike anything we’ve ever done before. We shot inside of a one-of-a-kind 4D capture machine in Atlanta and it was a WILD experience. I am so stoked to give this song another push and for everyone to see the video!”

The song’s video features the band in what looks like an abandoned factory as it performs its new single. Various video effects are added to the presentation to heighten the video’s engagement and entertainment. The song does not take the typical metalcore approach in its musical arrangement. Rather, it takes more of a melodic hard rock approach instead of the typical crunching guitars and screams.

No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the debut of the video. The lyrics provided with the video point directly to the theme being that of facing all of life’s adversity and coming out stronger as a result of facing that negativity.
