Primal Fear Premieres New Single’s Video

July 20 — Primal Fear gave audiences a new preview of its forthcoming album this week with the debut of the video for the group’s new single.

The band premiered the video for its new single, ‘Deep In The Night‘ Thursday. The video and its single are the second from the band’s forthcoming album, Code Red, which is scheduled for release Sept. 1 through Atomic Fire Records. The band debuted the record’s lead single, ‘Another Hero‘ and its companion video in late May.

The video for Primal Fear’s new single is largely a familiar style work. It features the band performing its new single on a sound stage that has been dressed to reflect what the band looks like in a live setting. The video’s other half features a mysterious hooded, druid-like figure examining figures of the human body, including bones. This all plays out as the new single plays over the visualization.

The song’s musical arrangement is another familiar hard rock composition to which the band’s audiences have come to expect from the group. Its guitar line serves as its foundation, giving the song much of its heaviness and depth while the rhythm section adds its own punch to the whole.

According to front man Ralph Scheepers, the song’s lyrical theme focuses on the all too familiar topic of broken romantic relationships.

“Finding out to being cheated is one of the worst experiences for a young man or woman,” Scheepers said. “Unfortunately, it happens to almost every one of us in life and if not, I hope it never will! But one thing is for sure: If it happens to you, it will definitely help to make the cornea around your heart grow even more. It affects your trust and if you take it too personally, you will probably never be able to trust anyone again. Nevertheless, there are fortunately always people who penetrate this cornea and reach your heart with their beautiful souls.”

Primal Fear is scheduled to launch a tour in support of Code Red Sept. 1 in Stuttgart, Germany. The tour’s official launch will follow a planned festival performance June 24 at Koba Live in Abadino, Spain. The tour is scheduled to run through Sept. 10 in Pratteln, Switzerland.
