Whitehall Debuts New Album’s Second Single

-

Sept. 8 — More than four months after premiering the lead single, ‘Pull,‘ from tis new album, Maizy — and the song’s video — independent alt-rock band Whitehall has debuted the album’s second single.

Whitehall premiered its new single, ‘Shadow of Your Wall‘ Friday. The musical arrangement featured in the song is something of an indie-emo type composition. It also boasts something of a poppy vibe that is sure to engage and entertain listeners in its own right.

The song’s lyrical theme centers on the all-too-familiar topic of a broken relationship according to a prepared statement from the band.

“‘Shadow of Your Wall’ has persisted in the Whitehall back catalog since the early, dorm room days of the band,” the statement reads. “Though it has seen many forms in terms of instrumentation through that time, the lyrics and melody have remained the same, keeping the original heart of the song intact. It details some extreme thoughts that go on in the breakdown of a relationship, asking a lot of questions but left assuming the answers. This being the most upbeat version of the song to date hopefully makes for a fun listen when stewing over the serious stuff.”

In other news, Whitehall is scheduled to launch a tour in support of Maizy Sept. 14 in Columbus, OH. The tour is scheduled to run through Nov. 19 in Lakewood
