Nov. 17 — Hard rock outfit Dymytry will kick off the new year with a new album.
The band announced Friday, it is scheduled to release its next album, Five Angry Men Jan. 26 through AFM Records. The album will come less than a year after the release of its then latest album, Revolt.
In anticipation of the album’s release, the band debuted its lead single, ‘Everything is Black‘ and the song’s companion video Friday. The song’s musical arrangement is an infectious composition whose keyboards, heavy guitar riffs and heavy melodic elements present influences of Crossbreed, Frontline Assembly, and even to a point, Slipknot. That sounds like an unusual grouping but it works quite well in the case of the band’s new single.
Front man Alen Ljubic discussed the song’s lyrical theme briefly in a prepared statement.
“The whole metal community identifies with the color black, so do we as a metal band,” Ljubic said. “We share those emotions as we wander in the shadows. We wear black clothes daily, not only at funerals. This is our soundtrack for every “outcast” in this world. In black we are united.”
