Shania Twain-Queen Of Me Tour-Concert Review-10/31/2023-Fiserv Forum-Milwaukee,WI-Photographed and Reviewed by Jeremy Smith

Shania Twain’s Queen Of Me Tour Comes to Milwaukee WI in a Snowy Halloween.

On a cold,  snowy and windy Halloween, Shania Twain fans make their way into The Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Not quite the weather one would expect on Halloween. With slippery roads the start of the concert was delayed about a half hour to give people a chance to get there and not miss the show.

The opening set for the night was country artist  Lily Rose. Lily Rose and her band were on stage with their faces painted for Halloween. Lily Rose had half of her face painted. She also wore a Bucks jersey as she were performing in the Bucks home arena. Lily Rose set consisted of her R&B country style song ‘Villain’ a cover of Jason Aldean’s ‘Dirt Road Anthem’ and another cover of Florida Georgia Line’s hit ‘Cruise’. Lily Rose said that The Rave another venue about 10 minutes from the Fiserv Forum is her favorite venue in the world.

After, the fans anxiously awaited for Shania Twain to hit the stage. Which would be her first time on a Milwaukee stage in around 20 years. As the lights dimmed down fans broke into large cheers. The band came out onto the stage but Shania Twain wasn’t on stage for the entire first song. Shania popped up in the middle of the audience on a cart singing ‘Wake Up Dreaming’ a hit off of her latest album The Queen Of Me. She stayed in the center for for a minute or so then she was slowly pushed on the cart through the aisles toward the stage. By the end of the song she disappeared and reappeared shortly after in a cloud of fog center stage on top of large stairs. In front of a space ship blasting off on the large screen behind her for the song ‘Up!’. Before the song ‘I’m Gonna Getcha Good!’ Shania’s two background vocalists and dancers had a tap dance contest together. Shortly after Shania was on the left side of the stage sitting on a motorcycle that was shaped like a horse. She sang half the song on the motorcycle then got up and walked to center stage. On the screen was a really cool old corner diner with Milwaukee written on it. Which is customized to each city she plays.

The night had some surprises other than Shania starting in the middle of the venue. Later in the set she invited two people on stage to sing ‘I’m Holden’ On Love (To Save My Life). Shania Twain also acknowledged two people in the audience that were celebrating their wedding anniversary and their wedding song was ‘From This Moment On’ so Shania dedicated the song to them. For ‘Any Man Of Mine’ she invited a couple on stage that had just gotten engaged at the show. There was a couple other fan interactions one in which a fan declined singing ‘Honey I’m Home’. All in all this concert was a great place to be on this cold night. Shania Twain played many hits from her catalog and some from her latest album, The Queen Of Me also. The stage setup and production added a lot to the show. The visuals on the large screen looked really cool. The band sounded great and Shania Twain’s voice sounded really good live. Was a great concert to see and I’m really glad I had the chance to see Shania’s Queen Of Me Tour.

Some of my favorite songs from her set were. ‘Wake Up Dreaming’, ‘Up!’, ‘You’re Still The One’, ‘From This Moment On’, and ‘Forever and For Always’.

A favorite outfit of the multiple outfits Shania wore was a custom sequined Bucks Jacket she wore open with a Bucks jersey underneath. She also wore what looked like a cheerleader skirt along with tall white platform boots.

This is a concert I would highly recommend seeing, I wasn’t disappointed at all and was actually quite surprised on how good it was.
