Dec. 12 — The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films will honor director Christopher Nolan at its 51st annual gala.
Scheduled for 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on Feb. 4 at the L.A. Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel in Los Angeles, CA, the gala will see Nolan honored with the organization’s Visionary Award. The award will be presented to Nolan — who has helmed the latest Batman trilogy, Interstellar, and most recently, the biopic, Oppenheimer — by one of the stars of Oppenheimer, Emily Blunt.
Audiences who cannot attend will still get to watch the event live through the premium OTT linear channel and Electric Entertainment App, ElectricNow. The company is the official streaming partner of the Saturn Awards.
Among other well-known figures who have received the Visionary Award are former Disney head Jeffrey Katzenberg, Marvel head Kevin Feige, and famed director James Cameron, who has helmed blockbusters, such as Titanic, The Abyss, and Aliens.
