Metal Hall Of Fame Gala Gets Big Sponsor News

Dec. 12 — The 2024 Metal Hall Of Fame gala is right around the corner, and the annual event is getting sponsorship from a very well-known band…sort of.

Metallica’s own whiskey brand, Blackened, will serve as sponsor for the 2024 event, which is scheduled to take place Jan. 24 at the Marriott Delta Garden Grove in Anaheim, CA. As part of its sponsorship of the gala, a free sampling event will take place for all attendees age 21 and over.

Metallica drummer and co-founder Lars Ulrich had the following to say of the band’s beverage in coordination with the release of the drink’s “72 Seasons Batch.”

“BLACKENED® was created as a way for us to connect with our fans and whiskey connoisseurs. “This batch does exactly that. We know our fans have been waiting a long time for new music, and we want to celebrate this release with them in every possible way we can. This album is as much theirs as it is ours, and we’re excited to unveil this commemorative release of BLACKENED®.

Pat Gesualdo, Metal Hall of Fame Founder and CEO spoke highly of the addition of Metallica’s Blackened Whiskey as a sponsor for the event.

“What an honor to have Metallica’s BLACKENED® Whiskey take part in our Annual Gala,” Gesualdo said. “Metallica Inducted our dear friends, and their original record company founders, the late Jon and Marsha Zazula into the 2018 Metal Hall of Fame, and it’s great to have their whiskey brand take part in the Gala.”

A limited number of tickets is available for the free tasting. Tickets are available here. The tasting is included in the price of admission to the gala.

Among the big names being inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame at its 2024 gala are Tim “Ripper” Owens (ex-Iced Earth, KK’s Priest), Biohazard, and Sebastian Bach (ex-Skid Row). The full list of the 2024 inductees is noted below:
