Feb. 13 — Punk act Acid Snot unveiled its new single ‘Rise‘ this week.
The single, which debuted Tuesday, is a short but powerful composition from the quartet whose blend of hardcore and skate punk will appeal to a wide range of listeners. The intense time keeping works with the harmonies in the vocals and the equally strong guitar lines to make the song a work that is certain to stick in listeners’ ears.
According to information provided in the news release announcing the song’s debut, its lyrical theme is a socio-political commentary. The commentary in question is meant to examine the impacts of political theory on both sides of the aisle, both neoliberalism and alt-right views. It is a call to action of sorts against both extremes, left and right.
