Feb. 7 — Mercury Studios will revisit its previously released Motley Crue concert recording The End this spring.
The label (nee Eagle Rock Entertainment), is scheduled to re-issue the recording April 5 on a new 4K release. The company originally released the recording in January 2016. Pre-orders for the re-issue are open.
The concert featured in the original recording was captured on New Year’s Eve 2015 in its hometown of Los Angeles, CA. Spanning 19 songs, audiences know now, that tour-ender turned out to be anything but the band’s end, as it has gone on to reunite and tour even more.
In comparison to the original release, that recording’s presentation featured a 17-song set list. The new re-issue will span 19 songs and will also featured extended interviews with the band members as a bonus, as well as examinations of drummer Tommy Lee’s drum kit used in the concert and bassist Nikki Sixx’s flamethrower bass.
A trailer for the recording is streaming here.
The upcoming re-issue of The End is just one of a number of concert recordings Mercury Studios is set to re-issue this year. The company has announced 4K re-issues of concerts from Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton and Steven Wilson are on the way, too.
