Myrath Premieres Video For New Album’s Fourth Single

Feb. 23 — With only days left until the release of its latest album, Karma, Myrath (pronounced ME-rath) has unveiled the final preview of the record.

The band unveiled the video for the album’s fourth single, ‘Candles Cry‘ Friday. The song and video are the fourth from the album behind the recently released single, ‘Child of Prophecy,‘ and its video, the album’s lead single, ‘Heroes,’ and two other singles, ‘Into The Light’ and ‘Let It Go.’ All four songs are streaming here.

The musical arrangement featured in Myrath’s new single is an interesting presentation due to the band’s approach to the song. Unlike the other singles released so far, this single blends elements of power metal and 80s hair metal for its overall presentation. That the two genres are so stylistically similar it comes as no surprise that the blending works as well as it does here.

While the video for the new single features the band performing its new single in front of a green screen portraying a bombed out building that itself sits among a region destroyed by war, the song allegedly has nothing to do with war. That is according to information provided in the news release announcing the premiere of the new single. The information states the song’s lyrical content centers on people’s inner conflicts and their decisions whether to face those conflicts.

The track listing for Karma is noted below:

KARMA TRACK LISTING:
“To The Stars”
Into The Light
“Candles Cry”
Let It Go
“Words Are Failing”
“The Wheel Of Time”
“Temple Walls”
Child Of Prophecy
“The Empire”
Heroes
“Carry On”
