Feb. 19 — Tesla has joined the already growing ranks of labels and acts who will release special content on Record Store Day this year.
The band announced Monday, it is scheduled to release its special vinyl recording, Real To Reel Vol. 1 to help mark the day. The limited edition double disc vinyl set is a re-issue of the album that was originally released June 5, 2007. The 13-song collection is a covers set celebrating some of the greatest rock songs from the 1960s and 1970s.
Among the covers that the band recorded for the original compilation are the likes of UFO’s 1974 hit ‘Rock Bottom,’ The Rolling Stones’ 1969 classic ‘Honky Tonk Women’ and The Beatles’ 1970 single, ‘I’ve Got A Feeling.’

In other news, Tesla is in the midst of its “Keepin’ It Real Tour,” which launched Jan. 11 in Immokalee, FL. The tour’s next scheduled stop is March 1 in Ashland, KY. A brief residency at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, NV is also part of the band’s live schedule. The residency will have a series of performances April 5, 6, 10, 12, and 13
