March 11 — John Fogerty’ will hit the road this summer’s “Celebration Tour” will run into the summer.
Fogerty, who launched the tour Apr. 27, 2023 in celebration of gaining the rights to his own songs after years of working to own his music, is scheduled to launch the new tour June in Simpsonville, SC. The tour is scheduled to run through Sept. 11 in Salt Lake City, UT.
The upcoming North American run will take Fogerty and special guests George Thorogood & The Destroyers, and Hearty Har mostly along the East Coast, with stops in cities, such as Raleigh, NC; Uncasville, CT and Bethel, NY.
Fogerty said in a prepared statement, he is looking forward to hitting the road this summer with George Thorogood & The Destroyers.
“George and I have done shows together before but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together,” Fogerty said. “This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now!”
Thorogood shared Fogerty’s excitement about the tour.
“Celebrating the music of John Fogerty at the same time we celebrate our 50th Anniversary is just about as good as it can get,” Thorogood said. “I’m looking forward to being out there with my friend, John!”
Hearty Har is led by Fogerty’s sons, Shane Fogerty (vocals/guitar) and Tyler Fogerty (guitar/vocals). Having formed in 2012, the band also features Jesse Wilson on bass, Richard Millsap on drums, Nick Stratton on guitar and Douglas Lamothe on keyboards.
The band said in its own statement, it is also looking forward to taking part in the tour this summer.
“We are incredibly excited to join John Fogerty and George Thorogood on tour! Hearty Har will open up every show with our own blend of rock and roll, and then join John as his backing band,” the statement reads. “Get ready to rock out with us all summer!”
