March 26 — Silverstein celebrates the 15th anniversary of the release of its 2009 album, A Shipwreck in the Sand this summer with a new vinyl re-issue of the record
Officials at Craft Recordings announced Tuesday, the record is scheduled for its forthcoming vinyl re-issue June 28. It will re-issue on four separate color pressings and classic black vinyl. Pre-orders are open.
Silverstein’s fourth album (and its final release through Victory Records through its four-album deal with the label), A Shipwreck in the Sand is a concept record from Silverstein. It follows the exploits of a ship’s crew in search of new land. The story starts positive but eventually takes a turn when the situation leads to a mutiny against the ship’s captain. The story is separated into four chapters: “It Burns Within Us All” (Tracks 1-3), “Liars, Cheaters, and Thieves” (Tracks 4-7), “Fight Fire With Fire” (Tracks 8-10) and “Death And Taxes” (Tracks 11-14).
A Shipwreck in the Sand saw some success, peaking at #3 on Billboard’s Independent albums chart and #4 on the magazine’s Hard Rock Albums Chart. It peaked at #33 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and #7 on the magazine’s Alternative Albums Chart while also reaching #10 on Billboard’s Rock Albums Chart.

A Shipwreck in the Sand is just the latest album that Craft Recordings officials have announced is planned for vinyl re-issue this year. Officials announced in February, plans to re-issue A Day To Remember’s Homesick July 19.
