March 20 — Visions of Atlantis will tentatively release its latest album this summer.
The band announced Wednesday, it is scheduled to release Pirates II: Armada July 5 through Napalm Records. The “sequel” to the band’s 2022 album, Pirates (which was also released through Napalm Records), it saw its first single, — its title track — released Wednesday, along with the song’s video.
The song, its lyrical theme and companion video are all everything that audiences have come to expect from the band throughout the course of its catalog. The musical arrangement is the full-on symphonic power metal that the band has produced throughout its catalog while the song’s story is another high seas tale told through the video, which finds the band of pirates going up against an armada of what looks like royal naval forces.
