May 29 — Testament and Kreator fans in Chicago will officially get the see the bands together on their upcoming fall North American tour.
Tour organizers announced Wednesday, the bands have added a performance in Chicago, IL to the tour’s schedule. The new date is scheduled for Sept. 27 at Radius in the “Windy City.” The bands initially announced their joint tour, which will also see support from Possessed, early this month.
Testament said in a prepared statement, the upcoming run with Kreator will be a celebration of the forthcoming re-issue of two of its albums.
“Get ready North America. We are looking forward to a co-headline tour with our Thrash master friends Kreator,” The statement reads. “This is gonna be a madhouse of a show with our Bay Area homies Possessed opening the show so get there early. Testament will be performing an old-school set celebrating the re-release of The Legacy & The New Order.”
Kreator also shared its own thoughts on the tour in its own prepared statement.
‘We’re very proud to bring a second edition of the “Klash Of The Titans” to North America!,” the statement reads. “This time with the Bay area beasts, Testament and one of my favorite bands in the world, Possessed. From start to finish, this is metal madness and we can’t wait to deliver our biggest shows to date over there!”
Tickets are available now through the official websites of Testament and Kreator. The tour’s updated schedule is noted below along with Testament and Kreator’s upcoming fall European tour schedule with Anthrax.
