May 29 — Neonfly will release a new EP this summer.
The band announced Wednesday, it is scheduled to release its new live EP, Master Tapes – 10 Years Live at Masters of Rock June 19 through Noble Demon Records. The digital release features the band’s performances at the festival through the past 10 years, including performances at the 2013 and 2015 editions of the festival.
In anticipation of the recording’s release, the band debuted its first single, a live clip of the band’s performance of its single, ‘Highways To Nowhere‘ Wednesday, along with the song’s companion video. The performance was captured at the 2022 edition of the festival.
Guitarist Frederick Thunder discussed the song in a prepared statement.
“‘Highways to Nowhere’ has been a staple in our setlist since our second album Strangers in Paradise came out,” Thunder said. “It’s really punchy and straight-forward, and it’s a great song to start the set with a bang and set the tone for the rest of the show. Even after all these years, the song only seems to have grown in popularity as evidenced by the number of people who request it and the way it’s positioned itself as one of our most popular songs on streaming platforms. It seemed like a great option as the starting track of our EP to celebrate what Neonfly is all about live.”
