Shallow Side Premieres New Album’s Third Single, Video

Independent rock band Shallow Side has offered audiences another preview of its forthcoming album.

The band unveiled its new single, ‘Filters‘ and the song’s companion video Apr. 26. The new single, which features a guest appearance by Nonpoint front man Elias Soriano, is the third single from the band’s forthcoming album, Reflections. The record is scheduled for release July 19 through Thermal Entertainment.

The song’s musical arrangement is fittingly, a melodic hard rock style composition very similar in sound and style to works from Nonpoint. At the same time, comparisons can also be made to works from the likes of Another Day Dawns and Saul.

No information was provided regarding the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the premiere of the new single and its video. The lyrics provided with the video leave the theme up to interpretation especially considering the song’s video.

The video features Soriano and Shallow Side front man Eric Boatright being held against their will in what looks like an asylum, being forcibly drugged by the staff as the song plays over the visualization.

Shallow Side’s new album has spawned two other singles in the form of ‘You’re The Reason‘ and ‘The Worst Kind‘ already.
