June 11 — Music critic and journalist Martin Popoff has partnered with Schiffer Publishing to release a new look at the life of legendary metal band Iron Maiden through a new book.
Hallowed Be Thy Name: The Iron Maiden Bible, is scheduled for release Oct. 28. The announcement was made Tuesday through a news release. The band’s story is told, according to information in the news release, through commentary from the band members, and managers who had connections with the band.
The story takes audiences from the band’s infancy through its evolution, noting the band’s highs and lows alike. Along the way, Popoff analyzes the lyrical themes of the band’s songs, the impact that the band’s music has had on the masses, and even the controversies that surrounded the band at various points.
An exclusive edition of the book will be available for $250, with only 666 copies of that edition printed. The limited edition. individually-numbered copies will feature slip case packaging, a ribbon book marker, and printed on stamped leather binding.
The retrospective of Iron Maiden’s life will span 666 pages in both editions and will feature more than 400 photos as part of the band’s story in this new book. The standard edition will retail for MSRP of $59.99.
