16 Imperial Tackles Corporate Greed In New Single, ‘Red Alert’

July 5 — Independent metal act 16 Imperial unveiled the video for its single, ‘Red Alert‘ this week. According to the band’s Soundcloud page, the song was posted to the page five years ago, making the video the new companion to the song.

The video follows a pair of masked figures (one that looks like a character from Killer Klowns From Outer Space and the other a primate, playing Monopoly and the evil clown soundly winning the game. A picture of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos sits in the middle of the board as the two play the game, which eventually descends into chaos as the instrumental track plays over the visualization.

The arrangement featured in this single harkens back to Mudvayne’s hit single, ‘Dig’ what with its nu-metal approach.

Greg Antine, of 16 Imperial, talked about the song in a prepared statement.

“Dive into the rebellious world of “Red Alert” where powerful “metalcore” riffs collide with thought-provoking visuals that challenge societal norms,” Antine said. “Our exclusive promotion brings you closer to the heart of this groundbreaking song and video, crafted by the talented artist Greg Antine.
