July 10 — Punk super group King Thief is set to drop its debut album this year through Thousand Islands Records.
In anticipation of its release, the band (which consists of members of Teenage Bottlerocket, This Is A Standoff, Choke, and other acts) dropped the as yet untitled album’s lead single, ‘Gymposter Syndrome‘ Wednesday.
The up-tempo musical arrangement featured in the new composition is a catchy work whose gritty vocals and poppy instrumentation make, it comparable to works from the likes of Rancid, Hot Water Music, and The Bronx. Audiences could also argue a comparison to works from Samiam.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the song’s premiere.
