Master Boot Record Offers New Preview Of Upcoming Album

Sept. 24 — Master Boot Record is set to drop its new album, Hardwarez next month.

In anticipation of the album’s release, the act (the brainchild of Victor Love) has unveiled the album’s new single, ‘RAM.’ The new single opens with a subdued, contemplative almost symphonic approach while the second half of the song is far more energetic in its approach. The whole is quite familiar territory for Love’s established fans with its electronic/synthwave approach.

Hardwarez will drop Oct. 11 through Metal Blade Records. The album will release on CD and vinyl. The vinyl pressing details and track listing are all noted below.

Love discussed the album and its title in a prepared statement:

“The concept of HARDWAREZ is by default the continuation of the concept of previous albums, which is about spreading the word about retro hardware and software,” Love said. ““With this album the 486DX-33MHz-64MB becomes sentient through human augmentation. For we may become better humans with their help, but machines still need us to shine”
