Oct. 10 — Roger Miret, front man of hardcore outfit Agnostic Front, has added a new title to his name.
That title is author. Miret’s new retrospective, With Time, is scheduled for publication in December through Revelation Records. A book signing event celebrating the book’s publication is scheduled for Dec. 13 at The Monty in Los Angeles, CA.
With Time is a history of the New York hardcore scene, according to information provided to the media. Spanning 348 pages, the book chronicles the early days of Agnostic Front and its role in the development of the New York hardcore scene.
Miret had the following to say about the book in a prepared statement:
“These are some of my personal archives that I have cherished my whole life,” Miret said. “A time capsule of an era where life presented the darkest days of my life with light at the other end of the tunnel, and that light was ambient even though it all seemed in black and white there was that one colorful rose rising from the concrete grime of the New York City streets. That colorful rose was my life, my soul growing and reaching my maximum being and my purpose and path in life.”
With Time was co-authored by Miret and Todd Huber. Along with Miret’s own recollections, the book also tells the story of the band and of the NY hardcore scene through rare photos, flyers, and even the band’s own 1985 tour diary.
