Dec. 4 — Mark Tremonti gave audiences another preview of his forthcoming album, The End Will Show Us How this week.
The guitarist/vocalist, who is also known for his work with Creed and Alter Bridge, unveiled the title track from his forthcoming album Wednesday, along with the song’s companion video. The song and its video are the fourth from the album, which is scheduled for release Jan. 10 through Napalm Records.
The End Will Show Us How has also produced the singles, ‘One More Time,’ ‘The Mother, The Earth and I,’ and ‘Just Too Much.’ As with those singles, this latest offering continues to show the musical diversity audiences can anticipate from Tremonti’s new album. Instead of the Alter Bridge-esque ‘One More Time,’ the heavy blues-infused ‘Just Too Much’ and the equally heavy, ‘The Mother, The Earth and I,’ ‘The End Will Show Us How’ is more contemplative in its presentation throughout most of its presentation. It does grow heavy in its second half but for the most part is more subdued in its presentation, being more heavily emotionally than musically.
No information was provided about the song’s lyrical theme in the news release announcing the debut of the new single and video. Lyrics were also not provided with the song’s video, which features Tremonti and his band mates — Tanner Keegan, Eric Friedman, and Ryan Bennett — performing the new single as the Earth is destroyed seemingly by a black hole.
