Dec. 13 — Ovtlier’s latest single is getting renewed attention with a new video.
The band debuted a new “live” in-studio video for its single, ‘Warriors,’ Friday. The new video’s premiere came roughly five months after the debut of the song’s official video, which featured a guest appearance and vocals by Motionless in White front man Chris Motionless.
The new take of the single features the band performing the song in a guitar shop setting by itself. It is heavy in its own right in comparison to the rendition featuring Chris Motionless. The keyboard line and vocals from Chris Motionless in the original presentation are absent in the new take, giving the song a slightly new but still engaging and entertaining presentation.
Ovtlier front man Joey Arena discussed the new take on the single in a prepared statement:
“Stripped and raw. Live and unprocessed. We live in a time where music can be overproduced to mask a song’s integrity or an artist’s ability,” Arena said. “We enjoy our bells and whistles as well, but prefer to use them as tools and not crutches. We have decided to peel back the layers and record an intimate live-studio version of ‘Warriors.’”
