Jan. 29 — Rock outfit Museum of Light gave audiences a new preview of its forthcoming album this week.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Undone‘ Wednesday. The song is the second single from the band’s forthcoming album, Diviner, which is scheduled for release March 14 through Spartan Records. The band premiered the album’s lead single, ‘Blunt Force Drama‘ early this month.
As with ‘Blunt Force Drama,’ the musical arrangement featured in ‘Undone’ blends elements of post grunge and stoner metal for its overall presentation. The whole is a unique presentation that is certain to engage and entertain listeners.
According to guitarist Ted Alvarez, the band’s new single tackles the all too familiar theme of a broken relationship.
“When it comes to meanings or feelings, I think we’re way more into creating images and suggestions that feel real and true, but opaque enough that the listener is really attaching their own specific story,” Alvarez said. “This one’s maybe a bit more concrete in that I think we tried to bottle the collapse of a relationship when it feels most catastrophic — mountains are crumbling, the earth is literally trying to swallow you up. But even after you’ve been buried, you can see a little light coming through the cracks, if that makes any sense.”
