Poison The Well Announces New Record Deal, Single; Announces New Tour

Jan. 29 — Poison The Well is officially back.

The band announced Wednesday through a news release, it has inked a new record deal with SharpTone Records, making it label mate to the likes of Of Mice & Men, August Burns Red, Bleeding Through, and Miss May I. Specifics of the deal were not announced in the news release.

In celebration of the band’s return, the group debuted its first new music in 15 years Wednesday in the form of its new single, ‘Trembling Level‘ and the song’s companion video. The song’s arrangement is an interesting presentation as it clearly blends elements of post hardcore and metalcore into a unique whole that is certain to keep listeners engaged and entertained.

Guitarist Ryan Primack discussed the song’s musical approach in a prepared statement.

“For me, I was trying to figure how to effectively incorporate elements from our whole discography into one song,” Primack said. “We ended up with this, and it has a little bit of everything we’ve done throughout the course of our existence.”

Front man Jeff Moreira addressed the song’s uplifting lyrical message in his own comments.

“Lyrically, it’s about tackling a fear,” Moreira said. ‘I tend to write based on personal experience. You’re approaching something you’re scared to do, going through it, and realizing the hardest parts are actually the ones you should be looking towards because those will lead you to success.”

The song’s video is a familiar style presentation. It features the band performing its new single on a uniquely designed sound stage as the song plays over the visualization.

In other news, Poison The Well has also announced a new tour in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the release of its album, The Opposite of December…A Season.
