Bloodywood Announces New Album Details, Drops New Single

Jan. 31 — Audiences now know when Bloodywood will release its sophomore album.

The band announced Friday through a news release, it plans to release its new album, Nu Delhi March 21 through Fearless Records.

In anticipation of its release, the band unveiled the album’s new single, ‘Tadka‘ and the song’s companion video. The song is the album’s third single behind ‘Bekhauf‘ and ‘Nu Delhi.‘

Just as the album’s title track is a light hearted song celebrating the rich history of Bloodywood’s home town, so is ‘Tadka’ its own lighthearted work. In the case of this song, it celebrates the rich culinary history of the region.

The band made that clear in a prepared statement.

“‘Tadka’ is a metal tribute to Indian food,” the statement reads. “The word ‘Tadka’ is a cooking process in Indian cuisine where spices are heated in hot oil or ghee to create a more aromatic flavor… It’s about going the extra mile in the pursuit of a greater flavor.”

The statement continues, “The song highlights the multi-faceted chaos of Indian kitchens that are tasked with perfectly executing centuries-old recipes on a daily basis as well as the immense joy they brings to most people. This is a never-ending love story that connects an entire nation. From the fanciest fine dining restaurants to the simplest road side stall, everyone brings something magical to the table, but the undisputed champion of the cuisine is the Indian household kitchen. When you fuse these recipes and techniques with the love of an Indian family home, the result is unbeatable.”

The song’s video works in lock step with that theme. It finds the band in the kitchen, chaos and all. That is until a surprise appearance by someone very close to the band that is certain to have audiences laughing happily.

The song’s musical arrangement bears all of the nu-metal crunch of so much of its music. At the same time there is a certain aggro-rock lean to the whole that when balanced with that nu metal influence makes the song in whole fully engaging and entertaining.
