Ministry revistied one of its classic albums over the weekend.

The band released its new retrospective record, The Squirrely Years Revisited Friday through Cleopatra Records. In celebration of its release, the band band premiered the video for the record’s single, ‘Everyday is Halloween‘ Monday. The video features groups of young people in full goth attire and makeup as the song plays over the visualization.

The song is a very 1980s style keyboard-driven composition that is comparable to works from the likes of Gary Numan. The use of the turntables alongside the very synth/industrial style work makes for plenty of engagement and entertainment.

According to information provided in the news release announcing the release of the new compilation record and video, the song is in fact meant to be a celebration of those who embrace the goth lifestyle.

Front man Al Jourgensen said of the song, “I’m amazed and honored that folks are still listening to this song 40 years on. Fly that freak flag proudly.”

The Squirrely Years spans nine songs (12 on the exclusive CD release). The reimagines works pulled largely pull from Ministry’s 1983 album, With Sympathy, its follow-up, the band’s 1986 album, Twitch, and its 2015 compilation, Trax Box, which was also released through Cleopatra Records.

The compilation’s track listing is noted below:

1. Work For Love

2. Here We Go

3. All Day

4. Everyday Is Halloween

5. Revenge

6. I’m Not An Effigy

7. I’m Falling

8. Same Old Madness

9. I’ll Do Anything For You

10. Just Like You [CD ONLY]

11. We Believe [CD ONLY]

12. Over The Shoulder [CD ONLY]
