March 11 — Sabaton fans who did not get to see Sabaton’s The War to End All Wars in its theatrical run in museums worldwide can now see the “movie” at home.

The band announced Tuesday through a news release, the movie, which is set to music from the band’s latest album, The War to End All Wars, is streaming on all major streaming platforms including Amazon Prime, Apple TV, and YouTube Movies (which is not free).

The band initially screened the presentation in museums worldwide in 2023 through a partnership with Yarnhub (which has also helped create the videos for many of Sabaton’s singles).

Bassist Par Sundstrom discussed the expanded release of the movie in a prepared statement.

“We’re so excited to finally share this blend of animation, history, and heavy metal with all of our fans,” said Sundstrom. “This film traveled the globe in November 2023 and was screened in 140 museums in 30 territories. Now, everyone will have access to it!”

Front man Joakim Broden also shared his thoughts on the development.

“This represents our first project to ever be available on video streaming services, which is quite a milestone for us!,” Broden said. “This film is not just entertainment; it’s a tribute to history and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. We invite everyone to experience this musical and historical adventure as we bring this important story to screens worldwide.”

The War to End All Wars centers on the stories of World War I. The 67-minute presentation is part of the band’s “History Rocks” campaign. The campaign is aimed at encouraging the importance of history. Additionally, it works to get communities to support their museums since they preserve history.
