Feb. 25 — Punk outfit The Speakeasy unveiled its latest single this week.

The band debuted its new single, ‘Troubled Waters’ Tuesday. The song is the newest single from the band’s forthcoming as yet untitled EP, which will also be its third EP and fourth overall studio recording. The EP’s exact release date is under consideration. The record will release through Thousand Islands Records.

The musical arrangement is a catchy, upbeat composition that compares to works from the likes of Sum 41, NOFX, and Lagwagon. Its lyrical theme meanwhile matches that upbeat energy. That is because according to information provided in the news release announcing the debut of the new single, the song’s message “is an anthem for resilience and transformation – reminder that no matter how rough the seas, there’s always a way forward.”
