Metalcore outfit Archers offered audiences another preview of its forthcoming EP this week.
The preview came Friday in the form of its new single, ‘Wide Awake.’ The single is the latest from the band’s forthcoming EP, Temporary High, which is scheduled for release June 13 through SBG Records. The record has also produced the singles, ‘Never Enough,’ and ‘Better Off.‘
The song’s musical arrangement is a familiar stylistic approach that is easily comparable to works from the likes of vintage Bullet For My Valentine, Of Mice & Men, and others of that ilk.
No information regarding the song’s lyrical theme was provided in the news release announcing the single’s debut. Additionally lyrics were not provided with the song’s posting on YouTube.
In other news, Archers also announced Friday, it will tour next year alongside Nothing More and Catch Your Breath. The roughly two-month tour is scheduled to span mid-January to mid-March, according to information provided in the noted news release.
Audiences in Europe and the United Kingdom will not have to wait long to see the band this year. A summer EU.UK tour is scheduled to kick off June 10 oin Berlin, Germany and to run through June 18 in London, UK.
Following that run, the band will launch a headlining North American run July 5 in Milwaukee, WI. That tour is scheduled to run through July 27 in St. Louis, MO. The band wrapped a brief spring tour Apr. 28 in support of The Funeral Portrait.
