Dry Kill Logic kicked off the weekend with the debut of its first new music in five years.
The band premiered its new single, ‘Now You Belong With The Dead‘ Friday. Produced by Greg Thomas (End, Shai Halud, Misery Signals), the song is the band’s first new music since the release of its single, ‘Don’t See Ghosts‘ in 2020.
The song is a powerful composition that will appeal equally to established DKL fans and new audiences alike what with its melodic hard rock approach. Its conemplative verses and intense choruses craft a whole that fits in easily with the band’s catalog, which currently consists of only three albums.
The song’s lyrical theme was not addressed in the news release announcing the song’s premiere. The lyrics provided with the song seem to point in the direction of the message being that of someone who has had enough of another fake individual. That is just this critic’s interpretation.
Front man Cliff Rigano said in a prepared statement, the new single is actually a work the band has been sitting on for some time.
“We wrote this song years ago, but it really came to life with Greg in the studio,” Rigano said. “It’s our most dynamic songwriting to date, and we’re stoked for everyone to hear it!”
In other news, Dry Kill Logic will perform a “reunion” show later this month at the Welcome to Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, FL. The concert is one of a handful the band is planning to hold this spring.
