The SatchVai Band has unveiled its latest single.
The band premiered its new single, ‘I Wanna Play My Guitar,’ Thursday. The band’s second single behind the recently premiered single, ‘The Sea of Emotion Pt. 1,’ this latest offering features a guest appearance by Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion). The musical arrangement featured in this composition is a fun, infectious blues-based work that is certain to become an earworm.
Adding to the engagement and entertainment is Hughes’ vocal delivery style. Audiences who immerse themselves in the song will agree he sounds so much like Sammy Hagar in his performance. It adds even more enjoyment to this work.
No information was provided about the lyrical theme in this song but the lyrics provided with the video hints at the song just being a celebratory song about being in front of a crowd, playing the guitar and entertaining the masses. That is just this critic’s interpretation.

Satriani and Vai’s upcoming European tour is just the latest for the famed guitarists together. The pair toured alongside fellow guitarist Eric Johnson this year for the G3 Reunion Tour. Following that tour Satriani and Vai held their own join tour that launched March 28.
