Aug. 22 — Up-and-coming pop punk outfit Raisin Awareness debuted its latest single and video this week.
The band premiered its new single, ‘No More‘ and its companion video Tuesday. The debut of the new single and video came more than two months after the band debuted its then latest single, ‘Never Ending Story‘ and its video.
The musical arrangement featured in Raisin Awareness’ new single is very similar in its sound and style to that of the song’s predecessor. That is evidenced through the distinct melodic pop punk vibes featured in the song.
According to vocalist Jo D, the song’s lyrical theme centers on the the all-too-familiar topic of mental health and comes from a personal standpoint.
“This song is my way of personifying my internal struggle with depression and anxiety,” she said. “The lyrics, ‘As we converse with these voices inside of our heads, I just can’t believe all the things that I said to myself,’ depict the constant, often self-deprecating dialogue that occurs in my mind.”
The song’s video features Jo D and her band mates running around a beach front scene dressed as a bunch of giant grapes and crosses that with footage of the band on stage. The band’s new single plays over the visualization as it plays out.
