Feb. 28 — Slayer has added a third performance to its schedule of new live dates.
The band announced Wednesday, it is scheduled to perform at this year’s Aftershock Festival as one of the festival’s headliners. Joining the band as headliners this year are Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, and Slipknot.
The new performance announcement came mere days after the band announced its reunion and a pair of festival dates (at Riot Fest and Louder Than Life Festival).
The band said very briefly of the new festival date in a prepared statement, “There’s been a lot of excited fans out there about our playing a couple of festival dates, so it’s great to be able to add this last one.”
Aftershock Festival is scheduled to take place Oct. 10-13 in Sacramento, CA. The four-day festival also features performances from bands, such as Like A Storm, Alien Weaponry, and Ill Nino. Ministry, Dropkick Murphys, Anthrax, Judas Priest, Fear Factory, P.O.D., Coal Chamber, Bad Wolves, and Falling in Reverse are also among the many acts tapped to perform at this year’s festival.
Aftershock Festival is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents. More information on the 2024 Aftershock Festival is available at:
