March 8 — CKY will hit the road this spring to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band’s founding.
The band made the announcement Friday. It is scheduled to launch the “New Reason To Dream Tour” May 1 in Knoxville, TN. The band’s headlining tour is scheduled to run through May 26 in Hampton Beach, NH and will feature support from X-Cops and Crobot. The tour, which will primarily see the bands perform at dates in the Midwest, southeast, and northeast, includes stops in cities, such as Carrboro, North Carolina; St. Louis, MO and Baltimore, MD.
Later this fall, the band is also scheduled to perform at the annual Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, KY and the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA. The former is scheduled to take place Sept. 26 while the latter is set to be held Oct. 12.
The band said in a prepared collective statement, it is looking forward to celebrating its anniversary with its fans.
“Through all the b******* over the last couple years, you have no idea how ready we are to get back on the road and f****** rock,” the statement reads. “25 years of CKY and we are ready for 20 more. The band sounds fucking great and the tour is going to be fucking awesome. Let’s go!”
