May 16 — Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler’s memoir, Into The Void: From Birth To Black Sabbath–and Beyond, is set to see the light of day again.
Originally published June 6, 2023 through Dey Street Books, the book is now set for publication in paperback June 18 through HarperCollins and Dey Street Books for MSRP of $19.99. The story featured in the memoir tells of the founding of Black Sabbath originally as Polka Tulk Blues Band in 1968, with the original lineup of Butler, Ozzy, Tommy Iommi, and and drummer Bill Ward. It also featured anecdotes about some of the band’s biggest hits. A total of 30 photographs adds its own touch to the presentation, adding to the engagement and entertainment.
The story culminates with the band’s reunion Feb. 4, 2017 ion Birmingham, England for the band’s final live show. There are also ruminations on the band’s final album as part of Butler’s story.
