May 23 — Blackmore’s Night will host a handful of live performances next month.
The band, founded and named after famed guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night, announced Thursday, a brief series of live performances scheduled to take place June 22, 23, and 30; and July 5 and 6. The June performances are scheduled respectively in Stroudsburg, PA; Norwalk, CT and Northampton MA. The two dates in July are in Red Bank, NJ.
The band said of the performances in a collective, prepared statement, “Join us this summer as the mystical fires glow at midnight, to all our friends, fans, Blackmore’s Night Family: grab your tambourine or your tankard of ale, and sing and dance with Blackmore’s Night ‘Under a Violet Moon.’ Let us transport you back in time to a magical evening with music that will brighten your hearts and soul,” states Ritchie Blackmore, Candice Night, and their band of Minstrels, May 2024.”
In other news, the band has announced plans to re-issue its 2001 album, Fires at Midnight. The band’s third album, it celebrates the 25th anniversary of its release this year. The re-issue’s release date is under consideration. It will come through ear Music, according to information provided in a news re’s e announcing the album’s re-issue and the band’s new concert dates.
More recently, the band re-issued its 1997 album, Shadow of the Moon last year. Released in March 2023, it was also re-issued through earMusic.
