I caught up with the guys from Julien-K on the Revolution 3 Tour with Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult in Sterling heights, MI to discuss their future album plans and to catch up on their plans to take over the world. The Revolution 3 Tour has 3 headlining bands together on one bill, rotating the headlining slot. I was pleasantly surprised to see Julien-K completely hold their own on the stage among giants and make new fans out of many people, including myself. Blasting through great songs like “Photo Voltaire” and “Blue Monday”, it was clear that Julien-K knows how to rock the house. With time to only play 4 songs, they definitely left the crowd begging for more.

Singer/guitarist Ryan Shuck and guitarist Amir Derakh founded the band in 2003 as a side project from their band Orgy. Since then, Julien-K have gone on to release 3 studio albums, a live album, an E.P. and a box set called TIME CAPSULE – A Future Retrospective. They are currently running an indiegogo campaign for their forthcoming album Harmonic Disruptor that is currently at over $42,000 dollars as of now.

In addition to the new record coming out, Julien-K are touring. Many people may not realize, but Ryan Shuck is a co-writer of the Korn song “Blind”. As things tend to come full circle, Julien-K are embarking on an American tour with none other than Jonathon Davis in the fall of 2018 on The Black labyrinth Tour.
