Aug. 28 — Go Ahead and Die will tentatively release its new live recording next month.
The band, which features Max Cavalera (Soulfly, Nailbomb, ex-Sepultura) and his son Igor Amadeus Cavalera, is scheduled to release its new live recording, Better Dead Than Mainstream: Live at the Marquee Theater Sept. 13 through Nuclear Blast Records. The performance, captured Sept. 21 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe, AZ, was part of the band’s push for its debut album, which had been released only months prior at the time.
Max Cavalera said he was proud of the recording, stating, “This is a true live album, with no overdubs. It’s as brutal as the pandemic!”
Pre-saves for the digital release are open. The concert’s set list is noted below:

In other news, Go Ahead and Die is scheduled to appear with Soulfly Nov. 9 at the Marquee Theater in Tempe. The concert is part of a tour announced Tuesday by Soulfly. The tour is scheduled to kick off Oct. 19 in Albuquerque, NM and to run through Nov. 8 in El Paso, TX. Also joining Soulfly for the tour are the likes of Crowbar, Skinflint, and Eyehategod.
