Dec. 4 — Bleed From Within unveiled the video this week, for the second single from its forthcoming album, Zenith, which is scheduled for release April 4 through Nuclear Blast Records.
The band debuted the video for its new single, ‘In Place of Your Halo’ Wednesday. The video features the band performing its new single in what looks to be a warehouse setting amid a large crowd of the band’s fans as the song plays over the visualization.
Musically speaking, the song blends elements of metalcore and Whitechapel-esque death metal for a heavy, unique composition that is sure to engage and entertain listeners. The addition of the bagpipes late in the song’s nearly four-minute run time adds even more interest to the whole.
In regard to the song’s lyrical theme, the band had the following to say in a prepared statement:
“In Place Of Your Halo marks the beginning of the next chapter for Bleed From Within. It is an anthem for those that feel like life has passed them by, or those that have been held back by their own limitations. We are killing the older version of ourselves in order to grow. This develops our resilience, a topic that underpins this band’s journey and most of what we shout about. We’ve not had it easy, but neither has anyone else. This song is for all of us.
Through this growth, we come closer to our potential, our Zenith – the title of our 7th studio album.”
The band further expanded on that thought, discussing the album, noting, “This is a body of work that we are so immensely proud of and look forward to sharing more of over the coming months. We couldn’t think of a more fitting introduction to our next steps as a band than a breakdown with some bagpipes over it. Plenty more new music to follow. Enjoy.”
The debut of ‘In Place of Your Halo’ comes five months after the premiere of Zenith‘s lead single, ‘Hands of Sin.’
In other news, Bleed From Within recently announced an extensive tour schedule in support of its forthcoming album. The tour kicked off Thursday in Amsterdam, The Netherlands as support for Slipknot. The band’s supporting run with Slipknot is scheduled to wind down Dec. 12 in London, United Kingdom.
Following its European run alongside Slipknot, Bleed From Within will serve as support for Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium beginning Apr. 19 in Chesterfield, MO. That tour is scheduled to run through May 18 in Raleigh, NC. A headlining run for Bleed From Within is scheduled to launch Sept. 10 in Antwerp, Belgium and to run through Dec. 12 in Glasgow, United Kingdom.
