Columbus Crush: A Night to Remember

The Newport Music Hall was alive with Energy this past Saturday Night as it Hosted The Inaugural Columbus Crush, A Celebration of Some of the Finest Alt-Rock Talent that Columbus has to Offer. The Event Featured Three Incredible Bands, Each Bringing Their Unique Sound and Style to the Stage.

A Night of Community and Music

The Atmosphere was Akin to an Extended House Party, Thanks to the Bands’ Social Media Promotions and Affordable Ticket Prices. Friends, Family, and Fans gathered on the Floor of the Newport Music Hall, Creating a Warm and Inclusive Environment that Made the Night Feel Special and Personal.

 

Cadaver Dogs: A Sleazy Start

Longtime Favorites Cadaver Dogs set the tone for the evening with their signature sleaze-rock style. Their performance was a gritty and electric showcase of blues-infused rock that had the crowd buzzing. Known for their rare appearances, the trio did not disappoint, delivering a set that was both powerful and entertaining.

The Worn Flints: A Hidden Gem

Despite being a band that seemed poised for national success post-pandemic, they remain a hidden gem within the Columbus music scene. Their set was a testament to their talent and potential, leaving the audience in awe of their captivating sound.

The Lonely Ones: A Promising Future

Closing out the night were The Lonely Ones, relative newcomers who have quickly made a name for themselves. Their polished and radio-friendly hard rock set was a fitting end to the evening. With a recent record deal from One Opportunity Records, a locally-run label, they are poised to become the next big thing in Columbus rock. Their performance left no doubt about their potential to rise to great heights.

The Inaugural Columbus Crush was a night filled with fantastic music and a strong sense of community, highlighting the vibrant alt-rock scene in Columbus. Each band brought something unique to the table, making it a memorable experience for all who attended. As the night came to a close, it was clear that the spirit of rock and roll is alive and thriving in Columbus.
