Elvenking Debuts New Album’s Third Single, Video

-

March 3 — Elvenking debuted its latest single and video this weekend.

The band unveiled its new single, ‘Bride of Night‘ and its video Friday. The song and its video are the third from the band’s forthcoming album, Reader of the Runes – Rapture, which is scheduled for release April 28 through AFM Records. The premiere of the new single and video follows those of its predecessors, ‘The Hanging Tree‘ and ‘Rapture.’

The band’s new single is a full-on power metal composition complete with keyboards and rich wall of guitars. It also features guest vocals from former Draconian vocalist Heike Langhans.

The band talked about the song’s musical arrangement in a prepared statement.

“We are proud to present our new song  and video “Bride of Night,” the statement reads. “It surely represents the more melodic side of our sound, yet dark and melancholic. We know that a lot of our fans love this side of Elvenking, so this is also a gift to you.”

No information about the song’s lyrical theme was provided in the news release announcing the song’s premiere and no lyrics were provided with the song’s video. The video tells the story of a woman apparently who has been accused of being a watch. She is made to carry a cross to a certain site, is tied to the structure and then burned alive. Some viewer discretion is advised.
