March 24 — Nothing More premiered the latest single from its new album, Spirits, and the song’s video to open the weekend.

The band premiered its new single, ‘Best Times‘ and its video Friday. The song is the album’s eighth behind the premieres of ‘Spirits,‘ ‘Tired Of Winning,‘ ‘Turn It Up Like (Stand In The Fire),‘ ‘The Other F Word,’ ‘Dream With Me,’ ‘Valhalla,’ and ‘You Don’t Know What Love Means.’

The band’s new single features a guest appearance from Lacey Sturm (Flyleaf). Its musical arrangement is a driving, melodic rock ballad. The layering of the vocals and the symphonic aspects of the song pair with the occasional almost emo punk leanings to make the arrangement in whole a unique addition to the album that holds its own against the album’s other singles.

No information was provided about the single’s lyrical theme. The lyrics provided with the song’s video, create an inference of appreciating our family and friends, and what they do now rather than having to look back on that appreciation later in life. That is just this critic’s interpretation.

The song’s video adds to that inference. According to information in the news release announcing the premiere of the single and video, the video tells the story of “a couple’s relationship and how life’s ‘best times’ can sometimes pass us by without being acknowledged, and is a reminder to appreciate those moments as they occur.”

The story in the video is told as a man and woman, and possibly their daughter are reunited after being apart for apparently a long time. Meanwhile the band performs its new single to the story in another room in the house where the family comes together.

In other news, Nothing More is scheduled to launch an expansive global tour in support of Spirits next week in Richmond, VA.
